Singers Mohit Chauhan and Neeti Mohan, who have lent their voice for Bindass’ popular Yeh Hai Aashiqui, are delighted about having collaborated for the same. Talking about their association, Mohit told us, “I first got a call from Disney and they told me they wanted me to sing the love anthem of their popular show Yeh Hai Aashiqui. They wanted me and Neeti to sing and reinterpret in our way and style and that was exciting. So, everything fell in place quite well. Singing a love anthem was great.”
Sharing her experience of being in front of camera for the video, Neeru said, “We as playback singers are not quite used to being in front of cameras. Then getting ready and waiting for the shoot to happen was something new. But the crew was great and we had great fun shooting. Also, I think this is the first time in history that two playback singers are not just singing but also featuring in the video as narrators.
What made the experience more pleasurable was the respect both Mohit and Neeti share for each other. “My phone’s playlist has many Mohit Chauhan songs,” said Neeti.
Mohit, on his part, admitted that he has become selective when it comes to singing Bollywood songs. “I have become selective and I prefer not to sing lyrics which I don’t generally like. But I do have some great songs coming up this year.”
