While models displayed Manish Malhotra’s wares, the cynosure of all eyes were Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez.
The good old Mehboob studio transformed itself into a white paradise replete with white trees, white chairs and chirping white paper birds hung from ceiling. The setting was near perfect for Manish Malhotra to officially open Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 with his muses, Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez as his showstoppers. And it was magic at play when models walked the ramp displaying Malhotra’s collection, Elements inspired from the four classical elements namely Earth, Water, Fire and Air.
While models displayed Malhotra’s wares, the cynosure of all eyes were Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez. Arjun looked handsome in a royal sherwani that he teamed with a silver jacket and dupatta. Jacqueline, on the other hand, looked drop dead gorgeous in a cream silver evening gown which she teamed up with a transparent cape.

The show was packed with most of Malhotra’s high heeled B-town friends. There was his favourite Kareena Kapoor who cheered as her co-star Arjun walked the ramp. One aslo spotted Nita Ambani, Sangeeta Bijalani, Dia Mirza, Milan Lutharia, Farah Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Shriya Saran and many others in the crowd.
Effusive in her praise for Malhotra was Kareena Kapoor who said, ” Manish is more than a brother to me. The reason what I am today is because of Manish. There are many people behind my success and one of them is Manish. My journey would be incomplete without him.”
