Rahul Raj Singh tortured my daughter; he should suffer in jail for life, says Pratyusha Banerjee’s mother

Pratyusha Banerjee’s mother Soma Banerjee today made an impassioned appeal to help her seek justice for her late daughter immediately after the culmination of the prayer meet kept in the Balika Vadhu’s memory. Accusing Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh of torturing and ultimately killing her, Soma said: “He(Rahul) should not get out. My daughter should get justice and I would like to appeal to the entire nation to help me seeking justice for my daughter. Meanwhile, a case of abetment, assault and intimidation was registered against Rahul after Soma lodged a fresh statement based on which an FIR was registered under sections 306, 323 and 506 of the IPC. The 24-year-old former “Balika Vadhu” star was found dead at her home on April 1, in a suspected case of suicide due to stress in her relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh.
