Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will shoot two of his productions in Uttar Pradesh this year, according to Vishal Kapoor, a member of the state’s Film Vikas Parishad.
“Salman Khan has decided to shoot two films in UP in the current year after participating in a film program in Mumbai,” Kapoor said.
He said that he offered Amar Butala, CEO of Salman Khan Films, to make films in the state.
“This year we shall start producing films from UP,” Butala said.
Kapoor said the new film policy of the Akhilesh Yadav government in UP was welcomed by film producers.
“The CM in fact wants to promote tourism through it. He feels that tourists would be encouraged to visit beautiful spots provided they are projected in films. The development of a Film City is on the cards.”
