Mithila Palkar, who started her career with a YouTube video ‘Confusing Things a Girl Say’, has bagged a role in web series tited Girl in the City. With web-series’ doing so well in the country giving recognition to many actors, Mithila is also ready to woo the audience of the internet world. The upcoming series will portray her as a young girl who comes to Mumbai to live her dreams and aim at her aspirations. It is about her journey in the big city.
When asked how it feels to begin her journey from a YouTube video, and then getting featured in Katti Batti as Imran Khan’s sister to being a protagonist of a new web-series, the actress is more than delighted about how her career has shaped up.
Talking about her upcoming show Mithila said, “I play the role of Meera, a 21-year-old girl who comes to Mumbai to fulfill her dream of becoming a fashion designer.”
The actress has herself been born and brought up in Mumbai. She said that the character demanded her to get into the skin of a girl who experiences the highs and lows of being in the big city.
Taking on this challenge, Mithila is happy being cast in web series as everyone across the globe has the access to internet and can watch it anytime, anywhere.
During her conversation with IndianExpress.com she revealed her desire to work with Ranbir Kapoor, whom she admires the most. When asked about what genre of movies would she consider doing if she got a chance to star in films, she said she liked rom-coms but is open to do a film of any genre.
Girl in the City will go live from April 28 on Facebook, which will be followed by a television airing on Bindass.
