Amitabh Bachchan has marked the 34 years of his 1982 movie ‘Desh Premee’ by sharing a post.
The 73-year-old actor took to his Twitter handle to write, “Desh Premee celebrates 30+ years of its release .. what an amazing cast of such massive talent.”
The movie, directed by ace filmmaker Manmohan Desai, though did “average” at the Box-Office, had a great cast like Hema Malini, Parveen Babi, Shammi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Amjad Khan, Kader Khan and others.

Though the Amitabh-Manmohan combo gave hits like ‘Mard,’ ‘Coolie,’ ‘Naseeb,’ ‘Suhaag’ and more, ‘Desh Premee’ failed to re-create the duo’s magic on the screen.
This was the only film for which music director Laxmikant lent his voice for a song.
‘Desh Premee’ is said to be a film, which is dedicated to the memories of Mohammad Rafi, who sang the film’s title track, and ace actor Uttam Kumar, both of whom died two years before the film was released.
