The team of forthcoming film ‘Dishoom’ were the special guests at Abu Dhabi by HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan on his birthday party on January 29. The lead actors of the film John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez along with film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Rohit Dhawan were given a grand welcome over lunch during their stay in Abu Dhabi.
Varun, Jacqueline and John are in Abu Dhabi to shoot a 40 day schedule of the movie. The shoot will take place at local and iconic locations of the UAE capital. The film is set to release on July 29, 2016.
The Rohit Dhawan-directed film is scheduled to shoot at 30 different locations.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala said it was a great experience to shoot in Abu Dhabi.
“We are having a great experience shooting ‘Dishoom’ in the exotic locations of Abu Dhabi which synchronise seamlessly with my script. We scouted all over the world before zeroing down on Abu Dhabi,” he said.
Welcoming the crew to Abu Dhabi, Maryam Al Mheiri, COO of twofour54 (a tax-free media and entertainment free zone) said, “We are delighted to welcome Sajid Nadiadwala and his production company back to Abu Dhabi to film ‘Dishoom’. Abu Dhabi has become the second home for Bollywood producers having secured major productions such as ‘Bang Bang’, ‘Baby’, and now ‘Dishoom’ over the past two years.”
The movie will be city’s longest feature filming project till date.
Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez have been actively sharing the ‘behind the scenes’ and ‘on set’ pictures on social media.
