Music industry set to transform in coming years: Harry Anand

Harry Anand said, “I am a genre specific artist and want to earn a name as an independent singer. I only choose titles which suit my style of singing. I draw inspiration from Lucky Ali and Atif Aslam.”

Harry Anand, the face behind many remixes with audio-video presentations in Bollywood, was in Chandigarh for a performance, ‘Goonj’— The Musical.

The singer- composer- music director has a plethora of remixes under his name, the popular ones being Kaanta Laga, Kaliyon Ka Chaman and Badan Pe Sitare.

Joining him was another talented Bollywood singer, Ami Mishra, who mesmerised the audience with his first song- ‘Hasi’ from Hamari Adhuri Kahani. The duo was present in the city to perform at ‘Goonj’ —The Musical — held at Hotel Lalit, which was organised to announce the launch of the website of an event solutions company, Eldorado Events.

Harry Anand, talking about performing in Chandigarh, said, “It’s a great pleasure to perform in Chandigarh. The audience here is discerning and up-to date with the latest trends being witnessed in the music industry.” He even mentioned his forthcoming projects which include four movies like Dushman, Vodka Diaries and Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai. He feels the music industry is going to transform in the coming years, with the monopolisation of the music industry by digitisation and independent labels. He strongly believes that the new age will see a rise in independent artists due to means like Youtube and iTunes.

Ami Mishra, being new in the industry, owes his success to a well blend combination of luck and talent.

He said, “I am a genre specific artist and want to earn a name as an independent singer. I only choose titles which suit my style of singing. I draw inspiration from Lucky Ali and Atif Aslam.”

‘Goonj’ — The Musical — turned out to be a successful event with the audience tapping their feet to the songs performed by the artists.

The songs covered a variety of genres, from romantic to classics, and Sufi to unplugged versions. The energy and zeal of the artists was contagious and was transferred on to the audience. Vikas Mittal, Founder and MD of Eldorado Events, said that the musical night was organised to announce the launch of the company.

The company primarily channelises its activities to provide a platform to budding singers and artists, along with organising tailor-made, customised events for its customers.
